Thank you for visiting the website of holiday lodge “Liesing”. Our modern cottage, including an adjacent sauna hut and a public charging station for electric cars, has been newly built in a calm, yet central area in the Baltic Seaside resort Prerow. This idyllic resort is located on the Darss, which is the central part of the “Fischland-Darss-Zingst” peninsula. The peninsula is home to the gorgeous National Park “Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft”. The old Hanseatic towns of Rostock and Stralsund can be reached by car within an hour. If you arrive with an e-car, that’s no problem. There is a public e-charging station on our property, which you can use at a fair price by scanning a QR code. Your bikes can be stored in a lockable storage room.
All the essential shops and attractions in Prerow are located within walking distance – among them supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, bike rentals, a cinema and the “Darss Museum”. The beautiful and wide beach called “Nordstrand” and the pier can be reached on foot after a walk of approx. 800m. Well-developed bicycle paths offer excellent opportunities to cycle quickly to the neighbouring Baltic Seaside resort Zingst or to the “artist village” Ahrenshoop, famous for its art houses and galleries. The natural “Darsswald” forest adjacent to Prerow is an excellent area for joggers and cyclists and offers access to the untamed “Weststrand”, according to the newspaper “Spiegel-Online” one of the ten most beautiful German beaches on the North and Baltic Seas.

Car traffic in the “Darsswald” forest is strictly forbidden. If you encounter a vehicle on four wheels, it is usually a horse-drawn carriage.
You’re surely wondering how Haus Liesing got its name. The answer is very simple, because „Liesing“ is a typical Pomeranian girls name, though not very common, and can be considered as a nickname of the name „Luise“. Since girls in our family have been given the beautiful name „Luise“ over several generations, the name „Liesing“ seemed more than appropriate to us, both because of the geographical location of our holiday home and because of our family history.
